Insert a Picture

To insert a picture in Microsoft-Word there are two ways-

  1. This Device – You can insert a picture file from your computer.
  2. Online Pictures – You can also insert pictures from online sites.

To Insert Image from this device-

  • Open MS-Word.
  • Select the Insert option from the navigation menu.
  • Now select the picture option.
  • An insert picture from dialog box will open.
  • Select this device option.
  • An insert picture dialog box will open. Select the drive or folder from the left panel menu where your pictures are saved.
  • Next select the picture/image and click on the insert option.

Finally, pictures/images are added to word document from the device.

Now you can also insert online images in your Word document.

Insert Online Images

To Insert Online images first of all

  • Open MS-Word.
  • Select the Insert option from the navigation menu.
  • Now select the picture option. An insert picture from dialog box will open and Select online pictures option.
  • Next click on the Bing image Search option to search the picture/image you want to insert.
  • Then online image/picture will display.
  • Now select a picture and click on the insert option.
  • After then, go to the file menu and save the document with appropriate name.

Resize or Move the Picture/Image

  • Select the picture and drag a corner handle.
  • To wrap text around a picture, select the picture, and then select a wrapping option.
